Burritt on the Mountain's Fall Camp, Book it to Burritt, October 5th-7th, 2010, Grades k-5th
Painting is fun!
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer-Join us as we bring Tom Sawyer’s life and adventures to Burritt. His adventures with Becky and with Huck Finn will seem real as you romp around our Historic Park and learn many of the historic crafts that children of the mid-1800s experienced. We will play and learn as Tom did. We will even create some of the foods he loved. Camp will include blacksmithing and whitewashing…but not because you were playing hooky like Tom! We will reenact the church scene, have an origami frog race, and picnic while we learn about caves. We will also play marbles and visit the barnyard to meet chickens, pigs, a mule, and other animals like the ones Tom and Becky might have encountered on their adventures.
The camps will be from 9:30-2:30 each day. Extended day will be offered from 8:30-5:00. The price for extending the day is $12.00 per day in addition to camp fees; reservations are required for the extended day program too. Students will need to bring a sack lunch for each camp day. We will provide snacks. Scholarships are available upon request of an application to be completed by the child.October 5th-7th
